An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to provide support and expertise to our patients with a diagnosis of a Gynaecological cancer. This role requires the successful applicant to have an understanding of both the surgical and oncological pathway of these patients as they transition through our health care system. You will often be the single point of contact, and are required to assist patients, and their whanau, as they navigate through the health system.

Oncology cancer services works in partnership and collaboration with a number of health care specialities including Gynaecology, Surgery as well as Medical Oncology and Haematology. We provide excellent inpatient and outpatient assessment and treatment of people with cancer. Cancer services also monitors and coordinates diagnosis and treatment for patients referred with a high suspicion of cancer, as they get reviewed through the specialty services under secondary care.

Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Registered Nurse with 5 years' experience and a current annual practicing certificate.
- PDRP - at proficient and/or above
- Completed post graduate study
- Experience in a leadership role an advantage
- Evidence of the ability to work independently.
- Initiative development and change management experience.
- Adaptability and the ability to learn.
