You'll be working as part of a passionate Occupational Therapy Team, dedicated to providing high quality support and treatment to our community, Inpatient ward and START. Your role as part of the team, is to provide quality assessment and deliver safe and clinically effective interventions to support our clients to live their best life as independently as possible. Allied Health is a directorate within Waikato District that provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetic, Audiology & New Born Hearing screening, Social Work, and Psychology services. Staff within these professions are all involved in direct client care and work in a wide range of situations to improve the health and wellbeing of the people they work with. Allied Health staff work in partnership with individuals and their family/whanau to facilitate relationships and a smooth journey through the healthcare system.
**Mōu | About you**
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- At least 18 months post qualification experience and ideally experience with the Ministry of Health funding process, however will consider new graduate Occupational Therapist | Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Rehab experience
- Experience working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of the evidence informed practice
- A full New Zealand drivers licence
