Estimator

With a strong pipeline of infrastructure work on the horizon, we are looking to expand our highly skilled workforce. We are now looking to bring on further Estimating resource to join our National Projects team, developing estimates for a wide range of infrastructure projects with a focus on major multidisciplinary projects.

HEB will provide a friendly and supportive team environment. Initially based at the Head Office in Auckland, the position will eventually transfer to site as required once projects have been won and commenced.

**The Role**:
You'll also be responsible for:

- Estimation during major bids and quantity survey work outside these times.
- Prepare estimates to win profitable work.
- Lead compilation of multidisciplinary estimates including ensuring quality assurance of the pricing process
- Ensuring appropriate balance of innovation/risk profile within directs and risk contingency allowances.
- Ensure estimate accurately reflects the planned construction methods and programme assumptions
- Assist with the critical review and challenge of estimate assumptions across diciplines
- Supporting budget and cost control management on projects outside major bids.
- Assisting projects in attaining financial objectives from initial estimates to final acquisition of materials.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you'll have significant experience (10+ years) in project delivery and construction management. You'll also have:

- Engineering certificate, relevant qualification, or equivalent experience
- Experience in CCS Candy or similar tool
- Experience in Civil Infrastructure construction
- Ability to plan tasks, including allocation of plant and labour resources and materials
- In-depth understanding and the ability to accurately interpret client tender documentation
- Proven ability to follow processes and procedures
- Full Class 1 driver's licence
- Reliability with a 'can-do' attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records
