Our Digital Engineering team is busy with exciting new and existing projects across a variety of sectors nationwide. We are on the hunt for a Civil Designer who can hit the ground running and help deliver our client's innovative digital solutions, using our digital engineering skill sets.
As a full-time 40 hours per week, Digital Modeller (3D) / Designer based in Christchurch, your key responsibilities will include:

- Provide estimates and/or review of Modelling & Drawing production budgets
- Preparation and/or review of the scope of project modelling requirements
- Provide input into requirements and/or self-source, prepare and/or review engineering data (i.e., survey data) for use in Digital Deliverables
- Autonomous preparation and delivery of high-quality, technically accurate, and fit for purpose 3D Models and/or drawing, figures, sketches and/or other digital deliverables
- Ensure digital deliverables comply with professional standards & Tonkin + Taylor relevant quality procedures and/or Client requirements by organising and/or completing relevant quality procedures checks and providing feedback to other staff
- Calculate quantities, specification, and their implications for technical aspects of designs
- Understand project timelines and deliverables to ensure drawing production is on-time, providing feedback to internal or external clients when required
- Management and/or Technical Leadership of less experienced staff
- Maintaining and reporting on personal workload, forecasting time to complete tasks
- Contribute to the development of other team members, including the mentoring and training of less experienced Digital Modelers
- Coordinating the modelling of designs going into large projects
- Effectively setting up 3D models in Information Management Systems that will then be used by clients, architects, engineers, and modellers
- Co-ordinating with other disciplines by federating models for the early identification and resolution of clashes
**Na tōu rourou | What you'll bring**
- Strong technical knowledge and capability in either 12d Model, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Revit or AutoCAD
- Ideally some experience using Data Management Systems: i.e., 12d Synergy, BIM360
- A genuine enthusiasm for BIM/Digital Engineering and the benefits it can provide our clients
- A self-motivated, critical thinking/problem-solving mindset
- A drive for innovation and working smarter
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with multiple teams
- 5+ years of experience in design or construction
