The New Zealand Intelligence Community's Protective Security Unit (PSU) is growing its capacity and capability, and now is an exciting time to get involved.
Protective Security Officers (PSOs) provide a risk based security service. They protect personnel and assets and deter, detect, and delay unauthorised intruders and respond to incidents. They provide reassurance to the workforce and support the function concerned with safety and emergency.
The role of Senior Protective Security Officer provides protective security services and leadership to our Auckland-based facilities via a range of security related functions and systems. The role also provides incident and emergency response.
Successful applicant should also have
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently and professionally with a range of people
- A full drivers licence
- A current first aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Preferred minimum of three years' experience working in an environment with experience in the use of security systems and procedures or risk management practices and procedures

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
