The New Zealand Intelligence Community's Protective Security Unit is growing its capacity and capability - it's an exciting time to get involved.
Protective Security Officers are the core element of this team, providing a 24/7, 365 day protective security service to the New Zealand Intelligence Community which protects our information, personnel and assets.
In this role you'll respond to security incidents and deter, detect and delay unauthorised intruders. You'll provide reassurance to the workforce, responding and supporting during emergency situations, at all times delivering a professional service.
We're looking for people from diverse backgrounds who have integrity, resilience and sound judgement. Prior experience in a security or frontline role is a bonus, as well as knowledge and experience with a variety of computer systems, security camera operation and access control systems. You will also need a current full NZ driver's licence.
This is a shift position so you will work rostered shifts to maintain our security service - this will entitle you to shift work allowances.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
