Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity In the role of Revenue Compliance Officer you will carry out quality risk assessments, compliance interventions, and records audits to identify and resolve non-compliance, and where needed recover unpaid revenue. You will be working with commercial transport operators and private vehicle owners to ensure they are compliant with their Road User Charges (RUC) obligations using education, engagement, and enforcement tools. This is a front-line regulatory role with a mixture of office and field work and occasional travel. Ko koe tēnei | About you You will be a self-starter who is able to interact with a wide range of people, have a natural curiosity, and an ability to assess a range of information with an eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience in assessing risk and undertaking regulatory audits and interactions.
- Good level of computer literacy, ability to deal with numbers and analyse large amounts of data
- High level of integrity and trust and ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds
- Good report writing skills with an ability to articulate recommendations
- An understanding of core regulatory legislation and the ability to interpret it
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working and communicating remotely in a national team
