Labour Allocator

Employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations across New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand’s port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our client’s businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.

Primary responsibilities for this position include allocating work assignments to operational staff on a daily basis, while ensuring accurate records of when staff are available to work and tracking the hours they have worked. You will ensure that there are enough staff with the right skills available on each shift to cover operations that include the loading/unloading of vessels. This role covers labour allocation for our stevedoring and log marshalling operations.

As shipping schedules can be disrupted you need to be able to cope with change, think on your feet and have flexibility to meet new deadlines. Well-developed planning and scheduling skills are essential. Being well organized, with an ability to prioritise while maintaining high levels of accuracy is a key requirement for this position. As a primary liaison person with our staff a positive attitude with great communication and people skills is also paramount.
