The MBIE ICT Service Design & Readiness team requires two enthusiastic, highly analytical and committed Principal Transition Advisors. We are a small high performing team within - Digital Operations, Digital, Data & Insights Group - and we deliver the following key functions, ICT service design assistance (service support), project to business-as-usual transition facilitation and operational readiness reviews for new or modified services.

**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
These roles are for experienced Principal Transition Advisors, who can forge key relationships with a diversity of stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager Service Design & Readiness this position is responsible for planning, assessing, and preparing for the transition of new and modified systems into the MBIE ICT production environment.
The role will work closely with project managers to plan and prepare solutions for operational readiness sign off. It will then facilitate the transition of the deliverables into production.

**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate**:

- In depth knowledge and 5+ years’ experience in ICT operations and/or ICT project management, service delivery management including outsourced environments; ITMS; Cloud Services
- An analytical thinker who can make connections between various aspects of the organisation and the implications or potential risks for the Digital, Data & Insights Group and the customer
- Experience in developing and implementing ongoing service support models across multiple organisations including vendors and varying technology
- Evidence of developing and maintaining working relationships, networks, and partnerships with key stakeholders in other government agencies/organisations
- Proven transition experience and the development of complex processes
- Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and develop trust and credibility with managers, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Understanding of ICT functions, environments, business practice and systems
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written particularly business writing and reporting
- In depth service management knowledge
- Understanding of government operating and decision-making procedures

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in a business or technology related discipline or equivalent experience
- ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle preferred
- Project Management certification
