**POSITION PURPOSE**

As the New Zealand market rebounds, we are looking for an IELTS Country Manager to lead, inspire and oversee our IELTS operations and business activities within New Zealand. The role has a wide range of responsibilities aimed at driving growth, achieving business objectives, supporting our people and ensuring IDP's success in the local market.

As our IELTS Country Manager will be responsible and accountable for all operational management, marketing and communications, people management, financial management, risk management and compliance activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Business Leadership
- Drive performance across the country’s business including the development and implementation of country and office-based business plans. Plans identify key operational efficiencies, growth opportunities, investment requirements, and the rollout of new products and systems.
- Set and monitor KPIs to support the implementation of the country’s business plan.
- Improve business performance by identifying and maximizing opportunities to leverage knowledge, skills, and infrastructure from the regional team.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities for IDP. Prepare business cases, financial models, and plans to be presented to regional management for discussion.
- Building strong relationships with marketing, finance leaders, and other regional/global team members to deliver optimal results that are in line with IDP’s growth and development priorities.
- Build a culture where our customers receive outstanding service and support to achieve sales and market share targets.

People
- Build a supportive, inclusive, positive, and thriving work environment that values transparency and openness, willingness to take risks, celebrating success, and learning from failures.
- Establish reward and recognition programs to drive high performance and recognize success.
- Build change management and execution capability within the country to support business expansion and growth.

Marketing and Communication
- Ensure country marketing plans are aligned with IDP brand objectives while addressing specific country needs.
- Promote the launch of new products and initiatives.
- Work closely with the regional marketing team to ensure marketing activity is in place for timely execution.
- Continuously build, develop, and strengthen the IDP brand through promotion campaigns, PR programs, marketing communication, customer service efforts, B2B marketing, and referrals.
- Manage and maintain key relationships with partners, government entities, and in-country representatives to keep informed on business intelligence.
- Where required, represent IDP in forums and events of country and/or regional significance.

Financial Management
- Formulate a strategic outlook by building and implementing a medium to long-term strategy aligned with the broader global strategy.
- Achieve short-term P&L goals for the business aligned to global and regional priorities.
- Optimise the allocation of resources within budget to maximise value creation.
- Develop and execute efficiency plans for efficiency and profitability, measured by GP and EBIT ratios.
- Facilitate regular financial briefings and discussions with the team to build transparency, awareness, and alignment on shared objectives.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability and collaboration to achieve set goals.
