**About the Role**

We are looking for a Wheat Intake Operator to join our Wheat Intake team who will ensure all wheat intake operations and functions are carried out to meet the production and customer demands. It is important that you have effective communication skills to ensure business needs are met and that we manage the stock levels of wheat to ensure the mill demands are met.

This role would suit someone who is keen to learn and develop and who works well within a team. You will have a focus on contributing to a safe and healthy working environment/culture, actively participate in continuous improvement.
**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Prepare/ensure the settings and operation of equipment prior to the arrival of inbound wheat
- Co-ordinate the delivery of wheat, including trucks, container cleaning, storage space availability, weigh bridge records
- Liaise with Mill staff for daily wheat usage/blends and preparation
- Perform ongoing check of the wheat bins for good repair
- Rotate regularly stored wheat
- Demonstrated experience as production operator
- Industry experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- A proactive attitude towards Workplace Health and Safety
- A sound knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- An ability to identify and actively promote continuous improvement to product processes and systems within any facet of the work environment
