New Zealand Starch Limited is seeking the services of qualified Process Operators for our manufacturing facility located in Penrose Auckland.

New Zealand Starch Limited is the sole manufacturer of starch, glucose syrups, and other starch derivatives in New Zealand.

As part of the process team, this position has full responsibility for a variety of distribution, warehouse, and production activities.

Some of the key duties:

- Driving a fork hoist to pick goods for dispatch, loading, and unloading trucks and shipping containers, and moving goods in and out of the warehouse
- Handling of paperwork for production, picking, and dispatch
- Operating the starch packing line - packing, labeling, and stacking bags
- Operation of blending equipment
- May include operation of a stock-feed pelletizing press
- May include running of a weighbridge and grain intake facility
- Cleaning of all areas under the control of the Distribution Team

We are looking for:

- Team player and able to learn new skills and processes.
- Competently, safely and efficiently operate a fork hoist and other machinery.
- Has previous experience in warehousing, distribution, or food manufacturing.
- The current holder of a fork hoist license is desirable.
- With a good level of fitness and mobility.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Some lifting work is required, e.g. 25kg bags.
- Needs to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
- Able to work some weekends and some overtime.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
