Busy Thai Restaurant in Grey Lynn, Auckland city requires a manager full time starting December or earlier.
As a smaller 50 to 60 seater restaurant, we aim for high table turnover—two or three times per evening. This can present challenges, such as dealing with late or early arrivals, customers without immediate seating, and those reluctant to vacate their tables at the end of their reservation. To deal with these issues you need a warm friendly personality to charm customers into taking the action that is required to resolve seating conflicts.
Additional duties include ensuring sufficient staffing for each evening, prepping and cleaning FOH, assisting with front-of-house tasks, and helping out at the bar.
**Requirements**:
- Friendly, warm, positive personality. A big smile goes a long way.
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Knowledge of Thai cuisine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
