About the Role
The Cybersecurity Automation Specialist will be a member of our Australian/New Zealand Cybersecurity Dev Team. The Cybersecurity Automation Specialist is responsible for guiding and implementing integrated software algorithms to structure, analyse, automate business processes and re-engineer projects to support business transformation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the Cybersecurity sector and is looking to build a career in this space. You will have at least 3-5 years' experience in an IT or software related role with a solid understanding of networks, firewalls, proxies, SIEM platforms, Endpoint controls, DLP concepts and technologies.
What you'll do
- Automating and implementing business processes to streamline common place activities.
- Developing and communicating descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms.
- Performing technical tasks, including unit test functions, as require, to support the internal quality and control arrangements as defined by company policy and project requirements.
- Completing programming and implementing efficiencies, performs testing and debugging.

What you'll bring
- Ability and willingness to self-managing and be proactive
- Advanced understanding of tools, techniques and procedures that modern attackers use to compromise organizations
- A customer centric approach ensuring consistency in delivery of service
- Proficient in automation software and deep learning practices (UI Path, Blue Prism, Eclipse, IntelliJ etc.
- Knowledge of lead code and design reviews, and operating system command-line tools.
- Knowledge of networks, firewalls, proxies' concepts and technologies
- Knowledge of system/server diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques.
- Thorough knowledge and in-depth skills of SIEM platforms are highly desirable and preferable.
- Knowledge of implementation and continuous improvement of effective security controls
- Ability and expertise to ensure that correct and comprehensive functioning of all security platforms and technologies
- Experience of working with vendors to ensure security solutions & platforms are updated and patched in a timely manner

Due to the Nature of the Clients you will be working with you will need to be an NZ Citizen/Permanent Resident and have the ability to pass additional security clearances or have lived in the 5 eyes for the last 5 years.
