As a Property Consultant, you will be part of the Property Consultancy Team providing a professional shared service across the Council and will therefore work with a large number of diverse people.

You will be involved in buying and selling property, negotiating property deals and developing property solutions that support the Council's projects e.g. roading, libraries, stadiums, pools, reserves and parks, and infrastructure, etc.

Local Government property is unique within the industry, the range and type of work you will be involved in will be quite different to any other career in the property sector. You will cover a wide variety of specialist tasks only found within that environment. These tasks include purchasing; all property negotiations; determining the future use and/or disposal of surplus property assets; ensuring legal processes and property conveyance is undertaken within statutory obligations and regulations and establishing, analysing, developing, recommending, and implementing property related options, strategies, initiatives, and solutions, supporting the Councils property ownership management processes and functions.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a team operating with a wide variety of property work, diverse stakeholder groups including the public, elected members and multiple professional disciplines both internal and external to the Council.
