Bakery Manager

Are you passionate about creating delicious baked goods? Keen to take your management skills to the next level? If so, we’re looking for a skilled Bakery Manager to join the team and play an instrumental part in the successful running of our in store bakery department.

**About the Role**:
Taking full ownership of the bakery department, you will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating all facets of day-to-day operations. You’ll drive to create an exceptional customer experience through great levels of service and a variety of fresh and delicious bakery offerings.
- Undertake assigned tasks of a baker when required.
- Ensure sales and GP targets are met or exceeded.
- Control ordering for the department through use of in-store purchasing systems.
- Ensure department is full and appealing with appropriate levels of fresh baked goods.
- Effective merchandising of department.
- Control department costs within parameters set out by owner/operator.
- Staff management - rostering, recruitment, performance management and training.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Proven management or supervisory experience within a retail environment.
- Previous bakery experience / bakery qualifications are desirable.
- Solid understanding of food safety and health & safety.
- SAP experience desirable.
- Capable people leader - able to lead and inspire a team.
- Customer focused.
- Be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kgs.
