Cardiac Physiologists are part of a multidisciplinary team working in a wide range of procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac disease. Te Toka Tumai Auckland Hospital offers both elective and acute care across a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult patients and provides the national service for paediatric and adult congenital heart disease patients. **The Training Programme** During the training programme you will rotate through various technical procedures and gain practical competency in a number of core cardiac measurement techniques. These procedures include ECG, Exercise Testing, Non Invasive Monitoring, Cardiac Catheterisation, and Pacemaker Follow-up testing. Along with the practical training you will be required to successfully complete a post graduate diploma in Medical Technology offered extramurally through Otago University and the National Certification of Cardiac Physiologists via the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology.
