Are you an experienced communications professional looking for the next step in your career?Te tūranga - The roleThe Strategy, Governance and Sustainability Group are on the hunt for a Senior Adviser, External Stakeholders to help ensure our communication messages are consistent, of high quality, and target key audiences and stakeholders. This person will develop a deep understanding and knowledge of Te Pūtea Matua's strategic plans and objectives to design and leads effective communisation plans and programmes. Reporting to the Manager External Stakeholders, this role will be supporting the Reserve Bank's Money and Cash Directorate with its of communications and engagement work. This activity includes:

- Furthering our engagement on digital cash
- Coordinating with cash system participants.
- Running regular Cash Industry Forums.
- Educating the public and businesses about fake banknotes.
- Responding to media inquiries, OIAs and other matters that arise.
- Cash system natural disaster response.

You will have a strong ability to influence effectively across an organisation and understand the importance of building effective relationships with your stakeholders.' You have a courage and determination that sees you challenging current practices, and you are passionate about building stories and narratives that are both engaging and informative.' In addition to this you will have;
- Relevant tertiary education in communications or related discipline
- An interest and ability to be able to develop their knowledge in economics, financial markets, and/or finance.
- Strong understanding of the requirements of the news media and an interest in the news and reputation management.
- Strong writing and communication skills and an ability to write clearly and concisely for non-technical audiences tailoring messages to different audiences.
- Ability to work independently, strong organisational skills, results-focused and an ability to lead and manage multiple priorities.
