Starship is seeking a collaborative leader for our General Paediatric service who will be a champion for actualising Māori health equity through Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The role provides strategic, operational and cultural leadership across our General Paediatric Service, leading the medical, nursing, allied and non-clinical teams. The role provides the opportunity to shape the future of Starship and to link closely with our regional partners, our community and sub specialty services.

The General Paediatric Service at Starship provides inpatient care for local, regional and national patient groups with a range of acute medical needs, including patients with multiple sub-speciality team input. The service also provides high volume outpatient care and a growing volume of virtual care.

**Pehea | About You**

To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated leadership skills, although this may be your first time in a Service Clinical Director role.

Starship has aspirations to transform clinical outcomes, particularly for tamariki and rangatahi Māori and we are seeking a leader who wishes to play a significant part in this change, supporting and empowering our kaimahi through the process.
- A professional clinical qualification in a medicine, nursing or allied health
- Eligible for New Zealand registration and a current annual practising certificate
- A flexible and collaborative leadership style able to lead through complexity
