Software Development Tutor

**About the role**:
An amazing opportunity to join our Online Campus to support our 2 year Diploma in Software Development. This diploma has all the key knowledge and skills that every new developer needs to start out. This diploma covers all the foundational skills of a software developer: UX design principles, algorithms programming, specialized topics like networks & cyber security, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, game development, through real hands-on learning.

In this role, you will be walking into an energetic environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes rather than micro-managing work and tasks. You will be given autonomy to work in a way that gets the best results and will be expected to take responsibility and make things happen. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

- Participate in the continuous improvement of course content and teaching resources
- Deliver assessments and have an overview of the assessors grading process, ensuring they evaluate to prescribed national and local qualification standards
- Record of accurate student data, assessment results, attendance, student-at-risk and other required documentation

**About you**:
You will describe yourself as an accomplished practitioner who has a sound knowledge of
- web design with HTML 5 / CSS 3 / jQuery/ Javascript,
- User experience design / Research methods for design
- QT (C++ with GUI)
- Git / GitHub
- Object oriented programming languages C++ / C# and Python
- Possesses in-depth expertise in at least two of the following specialist fields:

- Cloud computing
- Artificial intelligence
- Game Development
- Cybersecurity

You must also be enthusiastic, positive, patient, and motivated self-starter who has a passion for sharing knowledge and trying new things. Your exceptional communication and time management skills, along with the ability to connect and build relationships will be the key to your success
Ideally, you will also have:

- A Degree level qualification and is willing to be research active or is currently research active.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, and confidence in coordinating and supervising team projects
- An ability to connect with students through asynchronous delivery: through our platform’s forums, messaging and live sessions. Must also provide basic pastoral care and support, in conjunction with our Online Learning Support.
- Keen to expand your adult teaching skillset as part of your professional development
