**This opportunity**
Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking to join a specialist Family barrister in their CBD office? I would love to hear from you if you are interested. In this role, you will provide full-time secretarial and administrative support to the team. The role is busy and varied, so you will be self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
You will support a Barrister who is very well regarded in this field, has a fresh, pragmatic and highly personable approach to their work. As this is a small office, you will really be able to make this role your own, using your initiative and experience to keep the office running smoothly.
**The skills you will ideally have**:
- Prior experience in family or civil.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Accurate and efficient typing skills
- Flexible, adaptable and happy to pitch in and help.
**Your responsibilities**
- Communicating with clients about updates on case progress;
- Obtaining client due diligence material and AML compliance;
- Drafting and preparing legal documents;
- Liaising with police, courts, etc;
- Diary management for the team;
- Monthly billing, preparation of invoices and statements;
- Administrative support to team.
