The role entails following up priority women who have either never been screened or are overdue for either breast or cervical screening. In this role, you would need to engage with the women by telephone and in the community, to educate them on the importance of having regular screening, supporting their enrolment into the screening programmes and providing support and transport if required to screening, assessment, colposcopy and their first treatment appointments. As you are required to transport women to their appointments it is imperative to have a full, clean driver’s licence. To increase the service’s ability to contact working women, some evening and weekend work may be required.

A relevant health or community health worker qualification is essential and a current full clean driver’s licence.

**Essential**:

- Relevant Health or Community Health Worker Qualification
- 2-3 years experience working in a community or primary care setting
- Knowledge and understanding of tikanga Maaori
- Experience working in Maaori and Pacifika communities
- NZ full, clean driver’s licence
