**About the role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join a dynamic and growing company at the forefront of its industry.

In this role you will supervise and manage a small team of about 5-8 employees and assist in training and upskilling the staff. You will be a key member of the production team working closely with the Production Manager. Shift schedule is 2pm to 10:30pm and may change upon agreement with varying production requirements.

**In this role you will**:

- Oversee all production activities and ensure production outputs are in line with the schedule.
- Work closely with the Production Manager in formulating the most effective and efficient planned production schedule in achieving the company's production goals and targets.
- Coordinate and arrange staffing levels to meet production requirements, including working on the lines when and where necessary.
- Ensure that the finished products meet food safety, hygiene, quality and packaging standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing company policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees.
- You will be hands-on at each step in production and ready to assist when there are staff shortages.

**To succeed in this role you need**:

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- A strong focus on Food Safety and Health & Safety.
- Experience in the daily supervision and management of staff.
- Basic knowledge and capability of using Excel spreadsheets.
- Preferably with an Inventory Management System or similar experience with ABEL software
- Food Safety training is advantageous (but company can send you to training at company's expense).
- Strong leadership skills and a keen attention to detail.
