**ABOUT THE TEAM**

Neutron is Rocket Lab's new medium-lift reusable launch vehicle currently under development. The Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) team develops algorithms for Neutron to reach the orbit and landing targets. This extends to implementing simulations, conducting analysis and tooling required to support mission design, algorithm development, testing and operations across all phases of the program.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Within the Neutron GNC team, the GNC Intern will have the opportunity to research and work on the algorithms and/or models used by the Neutron GNC team. The precise scope of work will be determined based on the selected intern's previous academic experience and research focus (ie. Master's thesis). Potential relevant project include: vehicle control, guidance and navigation algorithms. Some adjacent work may be required on models, simulations, data processing, data analysis and reporting tools to support the project. The Intern will get full support from the team to bring their project to completion, while being immersed in a fast paced and demanding environment.

We are looking to bring one lucky student for a 6 month internship in New Zealand with flexibility on start dates from Spring 2025.
