Position Description

We are looking for an experienced engagement specialist to guide and support the Council in the development and implementation of well planned and executed community engagement/consultation plans using the IAP2 spectrum of public participation and in accordance with relevant policy and legislation.

This role will co-ordinate and facilitate (internally and externally) the development and delivery of portfolio projects and initiatives, ensure active Council, iwi, community and stakeholder engagement, monitor and report on project implementation along with the development and maintaining of project documentation. You will build and foster meaningful stakeholder and partner relationships particularly with those pieces of work supporting the mayor, councillors and community boards.

Knowledge of governance and management processes for local and national community voluntary groups is required as well as proven project management skills and experience.
