**About the role**
We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in our Christchurch and Dunsandel sites. This is an exciting role where you will form strategic relationships and a commercial understanding of the business plans and priorities for the portfolio you support. You will drive business goals through strategic planning and providing financial advice.
The main responsibilities of this role include..
- Support the Leadership team in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycle, providing sufficient challenge to ensure the budget outputs are challenging yet realistic and achievable
- Develop financial models and business case analysis to support business unit operational decision making and support commercial negotiations with sound financial insights.
- Supporting business case analysis, challenging assumptions, preparing financial modelling and providing insight for key strategic projects
- Providing coaching and mentoring to wider team members.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of business goals and associated financial outcomes.
- Drive business knowledge and external market insights into the development of business unit and site based strategies
- Prepare and/or review of the monthly performance packs for your portfolio providing insights to the leadership team of financial metrics, business drivers and all aspects affecting business and financial performance
- Monitor actual results against budget and forecasts, undertake analysis to identify issues and recommend possible corrective actions where appropriate
**Skills and Experience**
To be considered for this role will require
- CA/CFA qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Ideally you have previous experience within the dairy industry and 7 years plus experience in a similar role.
- A strategic thinker with experience in strategy development, financial modelling, reporting and ability to identify areas for business improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to understand business issues and demonstrate a business focus
- Previous leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
