Ardern Peters Architects Ltd. is an innovative, progressive company that prides itself on simple, stylish and sustainable design. Based in Ngamotu, New Plymouth, our team includes a mixture of Architects, Architectural Graduates, Technicians and Interior Designers.

We are seeking an Architectural Technician to join our team

Our practice undertakes a diverse range of projects including high end residential, commercial, education, institutional, hospitality and aged care in the Taranaki region.

We work in a collaborative, innovative office with a strong focus on culture and family. As an Architectural Technician you will be leading (depending on experience) or working as part of a team to deliver architectural documentation packages. We actively develop our team members and would be giving the opportunity to upskill through experience and mentorship.

Applicant Qualities:

- Architectural Technician with at least 3 years experience

Excellent communication skills able to and confidently work with consultants & contractors

Strong work ethic and responsible attitude to own work

Adept at problem solving - able to prioritize and resolve technical design challenges efficiently

Technically proficient to NZ Building code, applicable codes/standards (3604, 4121, metal roofing COP), NZIA construction contracts

Desire to learn and lead by example

Able to work individually or as part of a larger project team.

Experience in Revit & Enscape preferable but not critical

NZ residency required

A NZ drivers license

Remuneration will be negotiated based upon skillset and experience.
