Architectural Technician

About the role

ADQ Architecture is seeking a driven Junior or Intermediate Architectural Technician to join our team in our Christchurch office (in New Brighton). This is a full-time permanent position, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality architectural documentation and technical details across a range of exciting projects.

We are looking for a talented person with great attention to detail and the technical ability to back it up.

What you'll be doing

• Producing detailed design drawings, specifications and documentation using ArchiCAD software
• Collaborating with the team to develop innovative and functional architectural solutions
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Providing technical advice and support throughout all stages of the design and construction process
• Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and standards
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our technical processes and practices

What we're looking for

• A degree in Architecture
• Minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience in a similar architectural technician role
• Proficient in the use of ArchiCAD software
• Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials and detailing
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for creating innovative and sustainable architectural solutions
