Civil Labourer

Our client is preparing for a busy summer season and are seeking Civil labourers to assist with civil infrastructure projects in Southland and the wider South Island

**About You**

Ideally we are seeking individuals with civil labouring experience who have experience in sealing, asphalt or drainage crews or have an interest in the Civil industry, have a great attitude and work ethic and are keen to learn. You will need to have a minimum of a full drivers licence and can drive a manual vehicle. Having a Class 2 licence would be advantageous as well as having your Wheels, Tracks and Loader endorsements. This will increase the variety of work that can be offered along with higher hourly rates.

**Job Specifics**:

- Civil Labouring: ground work, plate compaction, flat raking, broom work, shovel work, piloting, offside roles for signs truck
- Sealing
- Driving Class 1 Utes or Class 2 vehicles if you hold your Class 2 licence and have experience
- Machinery Operation (if licenced)

- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be fit and able
- Ideally will be able to travel away as required (but not essential)
- Have a strong and reliable work ethic
- Can work in a team
- Have an intermediate level or oral and written communication
- WTR endorsements advantageous
- Have own reliable transport
