We are looking for a Sr Data Engineer for one of our clients in Auckland, New Zealand.

**Short Description**:
Suppose your passion is to work with data extraction and manipulation techniques/languages using Oracle SQL, Teradata. Then this role is for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to conduct discovery, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for the remediation in case of data quality issues, operation failures, configuration, or Code issues.
- Experience in development of customized scripts to resolve production issues and development of utilities to automate manual tasks using Powershell.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- 6+ year's Experience in data extraction and manipulation. techniques/languages using Oracle SQL, Teradata.
- Knowledge in general ETL/ELT concepts.
- Strong knowledge of SQL with the ability to create and execute medium to high complex SQL statements.
- Good to have knowledge about Business Intelligence.
- Good technical knowledge in Azure components.
- Proficient in DevOps concepts and principles.
- An understanding of the Data used, identification and analysis of associated data issues.
- Ability to conduct discovery, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for the remediation in case of data quality issues, operation failures, configuration, or Code issues.
- Experience in development of customized scripts to resolve production issues and development of utilities to automate manual tasks using Powershell.
- Application/Server management and daily health check monitoring.

**Must have Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of SQL with the ability to create and execute medium to high complex SQL statements.
- Knowledge in general ETL/ELT concepts.
- Good technical knowledge in Azure components
- Proficient in Devops concepts and principles
- Good to have knowledge about Business Intelligence.
