**What will you be doing?**

As a member of Reynolds' design team, you will be involved in exciting automation projects across multiple industry sectors from quotation to post commissioning. You will be responsible for the design of integrated systems, providing full end-to-end solutions or the integration of components with existing or new turn-key production lines. This will include:

- Assist the sales team in technical scoping and development of solutions for potential sales. Preparation of conceptual design drawings and models, and participation in sales presentations.
- Provide 2D plant layout drawings and develop 3D design and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
- Prepare General Assembly, arrangement and parts details drawings and manufacturing drawings.
- Prepare as-built documentation for operator and maintenance manuals.
- Prepare BOMs for all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies.
- Work cross-functionally with the automation and electrical team to ensure systems meet contract, design, functional and budget requirements.
- Assist in the procurement of mechanical components and systems.
- Provide technical input during the quotation and tendering stages, through to completion of the project.
- On occasion provide assistance with mechanical fitting, assembly and testing of designed systems and prototypes.[MV1]

Your standard working week will be Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, at a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

**Who are we looking for?**
- At least five years of relevant experience with the design of mechanical systems for automated production lines, ideally within the FMCG or materials handling sectors.
- You must hold at least a Bachelor’s qualifications in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Be able to work independently and within a team environment to meet project deadlines.
- You must possess strong problem-solving abilities and be able to develop solutions and offer sound technical advice to the project engineering team and clients.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in the use of Inventor 2D and 3D and Vault Basic or Pro. Experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks would be advantageous.
- You will be practical, self-motivated, highly organised, and able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
