**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for the design of electrical systems of our products. You will be working across multiple projects at one time and supporting R&D with their ongoing projects. It is an integral part of the team working with Test and Compliance, Mechanical Design, Automation, Electrical operations, NPD projects, and Production to provide solutions to customers. You will bring strong organisation and communication skills as you will be working alongside multiple departments in the business.

We are looking for an experienced electrical design engineer with solid practical experience and strong command of electrical design principles and standards; AS/NZS3000 and AS/NZS3008. Knowledge of AS/NZS60335, CISPR14.1, and IEC61000-6-8 will be advantageous. Advanced CAD skills would be highly appreciated, we prefer AutoCAD Electrical and Inventor experience. You should also have knowledge of BOM systems and MRP.

You should be able to deal with some ambiguity and be able to distil market requirements from the project Design Brief into a clear set of design requirements with specification limits and tasks and a plan. This role will also see you strive to achieve a high level of efficiency in your design work always.

**Qualifications**:
Engineering, Industrial design or product design degree, masters etc.
