We’re looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Head of Public Relations, Media & Community. The PR and media relations team exists to build the Woolworths NZ brand and support its reputation - creating better experiences for customers, team members and communities for a better tomorrow.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**

You will be responsible for:

- Supporting the development and execution of communication plans.
- Supporting the execution for proactive and reactive external communications, with a focus on media stakeholders.
- Drafting media responses in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
- Daily Media Monitoring and engaging with journalists and managing their media requests.
- Taking part in an on-call media roster (one weekend in four).
- Assisting in the development of supplier communications. Maintaining media lists and key administrative tasks.

**About You | Mōu**

To succeed in this role you will ideally have some experience in, or exposure to, the New Zealand media landscape.

If you’re the sort of individual who strives to always do the right thing for customers, team, our communities, and our business then we ought to connect.

To be successful in this position you will have strong writing skills and the ability to prioritise and build meaningful relationships internally and externally.
