InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. **About the role**

Reporting into the Head of Waste you will be responsible for treating waste products in line with treatment procedures. You will be responsible for driving and operation of machinery required for processing of waste. In addition, you will also support in the development of treatment process for waste materials. You will ensure all work practices are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with OHS regulations and attend all tool box meetings.

You will also:

- Advice your manager of any missing equipment immediately.
- Ensure all work practices are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with OHS regulations.
- Ensure time sheets, log books, docket books, fuel dockets, road user charges and the appropriate paperwork are completed and handed to your Manager on time.
- Operation of forklift.
- General cleaning duties of the Waste areas.

The technical stuff you'll need includes:

- Current drivers license as appropriate for the class of vehicle to be operated
- Previous experience in dealing with chemical or technical waste
- Certified Handler certificate or previous experience
- A working knowledge of day to day planning of jobs and following work instructions to meet contract specification.
- Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety managements systems including Hazard Analysis (preferable).
- First aid training (preferable).
- Manual handling training (preferable).
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- The ability to reverse vehicles confidently in tight spaces
