Production Team Leader

This role will be responsible for frontline leadership of a production team by effectively driving overall operational performance, executing production plans, driving the team to meet targets, while keeping team morale positive and engaged. This role will support day & night shifts.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Effective day-to-day leading of the area of responsibility with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance
- Ensuring safety systems are in place and operational to protect the health and safety of all people in the area of responsibility
- Ensuring maximum operational and production efficiency of the area
- Provide support to the Production Supervisor in managing resource levels
- Support the Production Supervisor in identifying and implementing production improvement initiatives

**What you will bring**:

- At least one-year previous leadership / supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience reading and interpreting plans/drawings
- Technically able to understand how different products work together to form solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of reinforcement an advantage
- Understanding and experience with NZ manufacturing safety and quality standards
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts
- A reasonable level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks
