Job Description

An experienced Chef/Cook is required for our busy Central City Cafe/Bar/Restaurant - The Mezze Bar,

YOU MUST HAVE
- A positive attitude
- Passion and commitment for food quality, consistency, service and cleanliness
- Strong work ethic with a proven record of reliability and staying power
- At least 1-2 years of cooking experience in busy/fast paced kitchens
- Good communication skills and works well within a team
- An understanding of how to contribute to the running of a kitchen in an efficient and profitable manner and may possess leadership qualities.
- ability to catch on quickly how the place works and be open to the possibility of rising to a leadership role
- Experience in all areas of the kitchen including all food prep and baking and hotline

YOU MUST BE
- A team player
- A skilled chef with solid hotline experience
- Fast and organized, able to cope in very busy situations (fast paced cafe/restaurant)
- Open to the flexible working hours of our industry (able to work mix of nights & weekends, some lunches)
- Able to maintain high standards of food quality, systems, cleaning and hygiene
- Enthusiasm and passion about maintaining the ongoing success of our 28 year old business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
