**Job Title: Store Assistant**

**Employment type: Permanent Full-Time**
**Minimum guaranteed hours of work Per week: 30**
**Days Required: Monday to Sunday (flexible hours)**
**Hourly rate: $23.00 per hour**

We are currently looking for a hard-working, customer-oriented store assistant to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. You should be hard working, energetic and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results for our customers.

The job involves heavy lifting of boxes, customer service both on the floor and serving on the Point-of-Sale system, stocking shelves, and other jobs needed in the store.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

- To Assist in the day-to-day running of the store
- Dealing with customer queries and issues
- Receiving deliveries, unpacking and re-shelving or storing stock
- Assisting with regular stock checks and annual stock takes
- Labelling goods, changing displays of store stock and ensuring the correct price is displayed
- Greet customers and help them choose products and assisting them in locating desired items.
- Assist with customer purchases, price enquiries and special orders
- Check delivered stock against orders and ensure it is in good condition
- Processing customer payments using the store's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Keeping the store and displays clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensuring all fire exits and escape routes are kept free from obstruction.
- Being vigilant at all times and to help minimise stock loss.
- Ensure any issues concerning customer care are reported to the Manager
- Performing end-of-day cleaning duties, which includes wiping down windows, mirrors, and fixtures as well as sweeping and mopping the store floor.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the store.
- A positive attitude with ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Available to work on weekends, and public holidays.
- Able to start early and finish late shifts when required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be a physically fit, hardworking, and reliable person with great attention to detail
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and always putting the customer first
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
- Be able to Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Committed and reliable
- Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
- Enjoy coming to work and willing to be part of a team.
- No Criminal Record and able to clear the drug test
