Inventory Controller

**Our PlaceMakers Frame and Truss plant in Auckland has an opportunity for an exciting role: inventory Controller. Working Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for the management of stock control and purchasing of inventory for the plant.**
**The Role**:
- The purpose of the role is to ensure there is enough stock on hand to meet manufacturing demand while seeking out better buying opportunities to maximise returns. To ensure inventory management best practices and accuracy, while identifying opportunities to either support growth for the business or improve profitability. Ensure there is constant improvement on optimisation & minimizing our waste. To ensure the condition of raw & manufactured product while onsite remains sound and aged stock is handled appropriately. Working with the Production manager and the manufacturing team to ensure stock is accurately account for and maintained. General administration support as required. Now is an exciting time to join the Team as we’re in the process of changing the system, so we are after someone who can take own ship of this change and moving to a more comprehensive inventory system.
**About you**:
- We are looking for some with a strong inventory experience and have a real passion and interest to learn and find ways to improve the systems we currently have. You’re committed to success and keen to expand your capability within a leading brand. We are needing someone who can pioneer and lead a system change. You will need to have experience in stock investigation. You will also be a solid all-rounder who takes great pride in your work and can multi-task like no other, while working to deadlines and remaining calm under pressure. Have great computer/Excel skills and good knowledge of administration and accounting processes. Ability to work autonomously and enjoy being part of a cohesive and successful team. This role requires a people centric person as you will be dealing with different departments. You need to have a can-do attitude and have a hands-on approach.
