At He Whānau Manaaki Kindergartens (WMK), we're proud to support over 100 kindergartens across a variety of regions—from Whanganui, Central Plateau, Horowhenua, Manawatū, Kāpiti, Porirua, Greater Wellington, Upper Hutt, Wairarapa and South Otago. We also offer a unique home-based service, Etu Ao, in Porirua and Levin, with a special focus on Pacific families.

Today, more than 6,000 children are part of the Whānau Manaaki kindergarten family, with an additional 150 children enrolled in our Etu Ao home-based programme. Together, we're building strong foundations for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

**Community Description**

Parsons Avenue is located in the north-east of Levin. Our kindergarten offers learning and fun in a spacious environment, both indoors and out. We have a rich mix of cultures, with children from Māori, Pasifika, Indian, Chinese and European families.

Parsons Ave kindergarten is highly regarded and well supported by the local community. We have children attending whose parents also came here as children.

We offer a wide range of learning experiences and children are making decisions and setting their own challenges. Children are encouraged to take pride in, and care for the environment through gardening and outdoor experiences in the māra (garden).

Children have the opportunity to create their own korowai, which they wear for their farewell, then take home as a taonga. Place-based learning is valued, supporting opportunities for tamariki to learn about Muaūpokotanga and tangata whenua.

We are licenced for 40 children who attend for 6 hours each day with a 100% qualified teaching team. You will join our team of 6 teachers, a teacher aid and administrator. As a 0.5 FTE teacher you will work a total of 20 hours per week as follows:
Monday 2hrs 11.30am -1.30pm
Tuesday 4.5hrs 11.30am - 4.00pm
Wednesday 5hrs 11.00am - 4.30pm (including ½ hr unpaid break)
Thursday 3.5hrs 11.30am -3.00pm
Friday 5hrs 8.00am -1.30pm (including ½ hr unpaid break)

We are looking for an enthusiastic ECE teacher who:
