We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor with expertise in family law to join the Judicial Education (Design and Delivery) team within Te Kura Kaiwhakawā (Te Kura). Te Kura is the education and development arm of Aotearoa New Zealand's judiciary delivering professional development to judicial officers at all stages of their careers.
The Senior Advisor, Judicial Education will play a significant role in the development and delivery of judicial education programmes with a particular focus on the Family Court.
The Senior Advisor supports the Deputy Director, Curriculum Design & Delivery and other Advisors to ensure the curriculum needs of all judges are met. This means assisting judicial education committees and Kaiwhakawā on programme content and design, leading the delivery of programmes and reviewing and refining the effectiveness of programmes to ensure they meet learning objectives.
**Ō** pūkenga/Skills and Experience**
To be successful in the position you will have:
- sound tertiary qualification in law
- experience in areas of law that are relevant in the Family Court context
- experience in learning and development, training or adult education
- experience in and an understanding of the justice sector or public service generally
- excellent interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder skills, able to hold effective and credible relationships at all levels
- effective written communication skills, with an ability to summarise complex and dense information
- proven follow through with senior stakeholders
- excellent project management skills and/or event management experience to manage and deliver on projects simultaneously
- strong customer service skills, including active listening, solutions-focused and positive attitude and professionalism
- initiative and be highly motivated to set and achieve goals
- strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative responses to complex issues
- sound judgement, discretion, political sensitivity, personal resilience, confidentiality and tact
- high functionality in IT environment

The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
