We have an exciting opportunity available to work in one of the most visited public attractions in Christchurch - the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens boasts a variety of significant plant collections, enticing 1.4 million visitors per year from all over the world. Information and advice is also provided to the 360,000 garden visitors that come through our Visitor Centre doors annually.

**About the role**

We are looking for a customer service superstar to join our team and provide exceptional service and assistance to our visitors and community. As a Visitor Host, you will proactively provide visitors diverse information about the Botanic Gardens, Hagley Park, local attractions, and events as well as engaging with customers in our exciting gift shop.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to work in a busy and rewarding environment. You will enjoy interacting with the community and have the ability to communicate with diverse customer groups.

**Skills and Experience**
- You'll have direct customer-facing and/or Visitor Services experience
- Experience in a retail background
- As you will be the first point of contact to the Botanic Gardens and the Visitor Centre you will also carry a wealth of knowledge of our City and Gardens and enjoy giving back to the community.

- Alternate week roster (September - May) Wednesday 6.75 hrs, Saturday 4.50hrs, Sunday 4.50hrs_
- Alternate week roster (June - August) Wednesday 5.75 hrs, Saturday 3.50 hrs, Sunday 3.50 hrs_
