Reporting to the Team Leader Design, this role is exciting and rewarding. You'll contribute towards and develop creative concepts and designs that bring our marketing, communications and engagement material to life. As part of the wider Communications and Engagement Unit you'll be a key member of the team, working on design projects for a wide range of Council services and activities across our digital and print channels.

You'll have an outstanding portfolio demonstrating creative talent and skill in digital and print design, and exceptional attention to detail. You'll be proficient in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD and After Effects) and Microsoft Office Suite, and be able to interpret customer needs and offer creative solutions in line with our brand guidelines and strategy. You'll be a people-person, able to build collaborative relationships with customers and capable of managing multiple projects at once.

**_ Hours: Full-time, fixed-term for 12 months to cover maternity leave_**

**_ Salary: _**_$61,283 - $74,597_**

**_ Location: This position is primarily based at the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street_**
