**Mō tēnei mahi | About this job**

Reporting to the Team Lead - Health & Safety Improvement, you’ll be one of two Advisorsresponsible for championing initiatives for the health, safety and wellbeing of our kaimahi across Aotearoa, integrated with Māori values and principles. This means supporting managers with the implementation of best practice solutions and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.

Day to day, you’ll coach, provide advice and guidance to kaimahi across the Wānanga,, investigate incidents and near-misses, and monitor our health and safety reporting. You will also provide support in the implementation of an online health and safety management system.

**Mōu | About you**
- Proven experience in an H&S role with technical experience in workplace investigations and online health and safety management systems.
- A strong knowledge of NZ H&S legislation.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships along with a personality and communication style that allows you to work closely with others to provide coaching and guidance.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with reporting.
- Full NZ drivers licence.
- NZ Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4) or equivalent would be an advantage.
- A willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga).
