This newly created role will join a people enabling M365 technology team renowned for their high-quality service to help build out our vision of delivering flexible, optimised, world-class end-user technology experience anywhere, anytime.
**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role***
Involved in a good blend of BAU and projects, you’ll consult, collaborate, and work hands-on with the business to shape the SharePoint and modern workplace technical direction for current and future technology, supporting new and improved functionality across the enterprise within the SOE (Standard Operating Experience).
Reporting to the Delivery Manager for People Technology (who’s awesome), you’ll join a solid agile team to design and deliver great user experience covering M365, Azure Policies and Security (MDM, MDI, MDE), and implement and configure systems, secure cloud environments, authentication solutions, and automation/configuration management and tools for cloud platforms - essentially DevOps the Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll implement proof of concepts and make recommendations on suitability, educating, training, and building knowledge of Power Platforms with stakeholders across Te Mata Hiko (Contact Energy) whilst developing governance to balance.

**Ko wai koe | About you**
With plenty of mahi under your belt in analysis and configuration of Microsoft Power Platforms, you’re all over SharePoint Admin, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, and have plenty of stories to share about times your customer focus approach + expertise helped you succeed with cool foundational pieces of work such as Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Firewalls, Networks, and VPNs. You’ve worked with customers to gather requirements progressing to build, testing and deploy, and enjoy working Agile to ensure requests are sized, prioritised, and delivered in accordance with business need.
Bringing a real blend of technical + personality, you can talk shop in the team just as comfortably as talking to the business about projects, able to translate technical speak for non-technical people with ease. You’re able to build rapport and trust while working remotely and take a collaborative approach to your work, happy to review others’ work, have yours reviewed, and actively cross-skill within the team.
We’ll also be looking out for:
- Knowledge of and experience using Cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
- Working knowledge and experience writing complex logical expressions or SQL and scripting (PowerShell) to support system workflow design and implementation
- Experience championing platform governance for the benefit of all customers
- Strong analytical, process, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for continuous learning and upskilling through Microsoft Certifications.
