We have a number of opportunities available for House Officers who are seeking a Southern lifestyle. You will have a minimum of one year post graduate medical experience in and be eligible for, or already hold, registration with Medical Council of NZ.

Working in a close knit team, you will have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital. You will be exposed to a number of medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles. You will have continued support in your professional development through 24/7 access to the library, weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and regular RMO forums.

Depending on your interest, we have a number of runs available for you to work in. These include:

- General Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- General Medicine
- Psychiatry
- AT&R
- ED
- O&G
- Paediatrics

**Requirements**:
As noted above, you will have at least one years’ postgraduate experience and be eligible for, or already hold, registration in New Zealand with Medical Council of NZ.
- Up to date electronic copies of your CV and cover letter
- Contact details for three Consultants we may contact directly for references. These Consultants should have supervised your day-to-day clinical work and one of the referees provided must be from your current or most recent employer. Please ensure you advise your referees of their nomination so they are aware they will be contacted by Southern DHB.
