Security Consultant

**The Company**

Operating for over 50 years, this New Zealand owned and operated business is growing Specialising in geographic information systems, IT Services, IT Solutions and more this organisation is unique in how they harness modern technology to support a wide range of businesses. Their technology assists with evacuation planning, conversation, defence routes and more

Now with the organisation growing and supporting more clients throughout NZ and the world, the team are looking to dive into a new security project and need a real expert in security to assist.

**The Role**

Reporting into the CISO, you will be in charge of reviewing all IT Security within the business and how it relates to new technology. The first step of this role will be to complete an audit and roadmap of what's currently happening. Next, you'll need to make a variety of suggestions on what needs to be done to close any gaps in security, or prevent them in future with your knowledge of similar projects. The final stage will be the fun part, implementation Working with the team you'll get stuck into making those changes and documenting them for the team to work with in future.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience consulting on security projects previously
- Hands on knowledge of IT infrastructure and security
- Ability to take the lead in identifying gaps in security
- CISSP or CISA qualified preferred, but not essential

This position will start as a 30hour / week contract, growing to 40 hours / week after the initial 6-8 weeks of work. You will need to work onsite twice a week and the remaining days can be either onsite or from home at your preference.
