The team at the Bupa Hugh Green Care Home in Albany are searching for an Activities Assistant with a creative flair to join our passionate team. This is a full time role working at least 1 weekend per week.
In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of each of the Care Home residents based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.
**Where you will make an impact**
- Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities
- Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme
- Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme
**What about you**
- An NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 2-4 is preferred.
- Ideally you will have a minimum of 1 year of experience within aged care.
- Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm, dedication to care, and passion for enriching the lives of the elderly.
- Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
