**You will be responsible for**:

- Identifying relevant issues and trends in the health and education sectors.
- The provision of high-level advice and strategic options to the committee and executive that informs the development of policy and program responses.
- Policy Analysis and international research providing an evidence base for the preparation of policy papers, submissions and project proposals.
- Establishing collaborative partnerships with Government and other relevant health and education sectors, and external stakeholders.
- Leading a variety of policy and program responses that support the work of the New Zealand National office.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Extensive experience in a broad-based policy role developing and implementing strategic policy, ideally in an industry environment.
- Strong advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills
- Well-developed thinking and research skills, along with the ability to write for a ministerial and/or executive audience.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to effectively handle conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working both collaboratively and autonomously
