**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Health Coordinator, Deportations is part of the Hospital and Specialist Services Team, within Te Whatu Ora. This role has shared accountability for delivering actions set out in the interim New Zealand Health Plan and Kia Manawanui: Long-term pathway to mental wellbeing. Kia Manawanui takes forward the Government's response to He Ara Oranga: Report of the Government Inquiry into Mental Health and Addiction and sets the direction for the long-term transformation of New Zealand's approach to mental wellbeing.
The primary purpose for the Health Coordinator for Deportations is to facilitate strong cross-agency coordination and governance of the response to deported people to Aotearoa New Zealand, identify acute health needs of deportees, and collaborates with clinical teams to support the delivery of improved health outcomes for deportees.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse who is looking to upskill and expand their skillset. You should be able to hit the ground running, have strong critical thinking skills and ability to stay calm and controlled under pressure. The ability to analyse and interpret complex issues and to present it in a simple and clear way will be highly beneficial.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience working as a registered nurse at a senior level - i.e., as a clinical nurse specialist
- An active Annual Practising Certificate with no limitations on practice
- Experience analysing and interpreting complex issues and information and ability to present this in simple and clear ways to enable effective decisions
