**About the position**:
The overarching objective of the programme is to give tauira the opportunity to gain experience and learn the fundamentals of Rongoa Maori. The programme is taught in a unique Māori learning environment that is based on the Māori principles of whanaungatanga (family relationships), rangatiratanga (leadership), tūhonohono (engagement) and mauitanga (innovation).

**About you**:
To be considered for this role you will be passionate about teaching and want to inspire tauira from all walks of life. Ideally, you will hold:

- Diploma in Rongoā Māori or Hauora Māori or equivalent
- Adult Teaching qualification (NZCATT) Level 5 or equivalent or willing to complete during the first year of employment.
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience using traditional Māori healing methods, or other relevant work-related to Rongoā Māori is preferred.
- Current and clean full driver’s licence AND Passenger Endorsement
- Experience in the industry related sector, work placement, work skill development or career planning and development; as well as teaching experience and experience working with Māori and Pacific Island people.
